an innocent girl was casually murdered in charlotte, nc seventeen days ago quoting the local news article (archive - NSFL): "At around 9:50 p.m. on Aug. 22, a light rail passenger stabbed Iryna Zarutska, 23, several times. Officials said she was stabbed in the throat at least one time. Zarutska was pronounced dead on the light rail. Decarlos Brown Jr., 34, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Zarutska’s killing. Brown was ordered last week to remain in jail and undergo a competency evaluation." this is a hot button topic on twitter/x at the moment. the mainstream media has reported on it exactly zero times since the event occurred. the entire situation is zetta fucked. i feel like i'm witnessing an atrocious event. one which should end badly for someone in a position of power, but won't because of course it won't. an event that can radicalize a lot of people. iryna zarutska was an innocent girl getting off work and catching the tram. earpods on, head down in her phone. minding her own business. the other people on the tram did nothing when the event occurred. he casually got up and walked off the train, still holding the blade dripping with her blood. she was only 23. homeboy was apprehended (affidavit archive) and is remaining in jail until he can "undergo competency evaluation, judge orders." ublock origin lite and "dark reader" do not play well with each other. dark reader forces youtube to attempt to load shit in the background and youtube freaks the fuck out, causing massive load times and worker timeouts. which is absolutely terrible. dark reader is gone, youtube loads almost instantly.
