Using Mirco-Win 1. Making the ISO can take some time, make sure both ISO's are on the same drive, takes half the time. 2. Always choose PRO version, cause we PRO 'N shiz 3. Before the initial install make sure you at least have the network driver on hand cause for some reason, it doesn't include it or strips it out of the Micro-Win version, I assume either an error on my part or does this so it doesn't phone home. 4. If you're playing around with dual or triple boots like me, make sure you unplug your other OS hard drives first so it doesn't mess up the boot sector. 5. Don't be like me and move around SATA cables cause Win11 failed hardcore on my first install cause I changed the SATA cable and I guess that messes up the address for it. 6. Making a recovery disk doesn't seem to work, not sure if it's ISO related. 7. Seems to work without any issues with Win10 and Linux on their own separate drives. 8. Process count is around 109 post install, which is pretty gud. 9. Massgrave works without any issues. Overall, it seems to be good and being able to make your own ISO moving forward seems really cool. I'll be interested to revisit this a year from now and see what new features get added. Windows sucks monkey balls btw. |

1. If you don't know what are you doing, you "might" fuck up your system hardcore, like me eheheheheh :-) 2. If you're on Win10 (pir8 scum) LTSC then don't use too much cause it WILL fuck up your system as it's already a stripped down version of Win10 but using the tweaks is safe. 3. from the steam forums: I had this "Failure Initializing Input Devices" on Windows 8.1, here is a workaround that worked for me: 1. Navigate to the game files as described: Right-click Fallout in your Steam library and click Properties. Go to the Local Files tab and choose 'Browse Local Files...' 2. Create a shortcut for falloutwHR.exe file 3. Right-click on the shortcut, select Properties 4. Select the Compatibility tab, then check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" checkbox and select "Windows XP Service Pack 2". Click OK. 5. Launch the game from the created shortcut. Note that after the first run game will run without error from Steam directly. |

bitching to bitch. customer calls in. ticket has been escalated at some point. he wants an engineer on xoom/teams/call. i say "sure, let me submit a post to the [SOFTWARE] team and see if we can get some eyes on the ticket." under normal circumstances, an escalated ticket is supposed to be top priority. every team seems to be on fire at the moment because of course we are. [SOFTWARE] team in particular is swamped seemingly all the time. ten minutes passes and there's no confirmation or acknowledgement from anyone that the dude has an escalated ticket, he wants a meeting or call, and he's still on the phone. it took twenty-five (25) minutes to get a confirmation that an engineer would be reaching out. even still, the customer wanted an ETA of such. it was like pulling teeth to get anything from anyone. unacceptable. what's the point in policy and process if it's just going to be summarily ignored? |
