if you use chrome and a ton of (questionable) extensions, do this one simple trick to make your browsing experience one billion times better:

edit the HOSTS file

russia is (still) currently fucking up ukraine because reasons. ukraine civilians who were unable to leave are now suffering on an incredible level. it's super fucked up.

also, russia has been struck with massive sanctions and practically experiencing an un-personing. all manners of corporations and payment processors have pulled out. again, civilians are suffering.

it is the hope that russian civilians will rise up and put pressure on putin, but that is incredibly unlikely. because the russian police/kgb-offshoot will arrest anyone even talking about it. so the odds of anything happening is very low.
