there's a init check on the board before POST. CPU light stays on when powered on. only one ram slot works. putting anything else in the other slots, nothing happens. this board is fucking cursed. gigabyte x870 gaming wifi7 |

otherwise you'll get the bullshit i am currently dealing with. finally got around to putting the pc together. will not post. at all. i've narrowed it down to either the ram is faulty OR the motherboard is. neither of which instill any faith in me. starting small. going to update the bios via the "q-flash" utility. pc doesn't need to have anything at all plugged in (cpu/ram/gpu) and the bios can be flashed immediately. there was a recent bios update which added "memory compatibility" so here's hoping. i either brick my board or rma the ram. yay. |

sometime last week, i put the parts together. haven't tried to POST at all. that's a surprise/panic for another day. decided to install linux and win11 on separate drives. • linux mint 25.3 "cinnamon" • win11 iot enterprise 25h2 we'll see how it goes |
